Our Team
I’m Paul Kilcullen a registered Physical Therapist and I am on the CORU register for Physiotherapists. I graduated with distinction from the Institute of Physical Therapy and Applied Science in June 2015. As part of my studies I received an award for clinical excellence. I also have a degree in Sports and Exercise Science from the University of Limerick from which I graduated in 2004. I take part in CPD on an annual basis to stay up to date with the latest research and treatments, something which is very important in an ever-evolving field.
I have a keen interest in Gaelic football and play with Castleconnor GAA club. I have represented Sligo at U16 and U21 level. I’m passionate about sport and fitness and can empathise with anyone who is injured or has suffered setbacks while trying to return to sport. I would welcome the opportunity to work with you to help you recover from your current condition or injury.
My key interest areas are pain science, manual therapy, persistent pain, low-back pain, and exercise rehabilitation. I work closely with clients to ensure they return to full function as quickly and efficiently as possible.
Roisin Flynn graduated with a BSc in Physiotherapy from University College Dublin in 2022.
She is CORU registered and a member of the Irish Society of Chartered
Physiotherapists.
As part of her degree, Roisin has carried out qualitative research on total knee
arthroplasty that has recently been published in the Journal of Disability and
Rehabilitation.
From working in private practice, a wide range of sport teams and other healthcare
settings, Roisin has clinical experience treating people of all abilities and age ranges.
Her areas of particular interest are lower back, hip and knee pathologies as well as a
desire to promote healthy lifestyle habits. She has most recently established an “Active Ageing” exercise class for people looking to keep fit, healthy and maintain their independence as they get older.
Roisin is from a GAA background, playing with her local club Knockmore and the Mayo Ladies Senior Football team.
She enjoys working with people from all walks of life and providing the best standard of care to her patients, getting them back to doing the things they love.
This means treatments are covered by all the major insurance companies, depending on your own individual policy.

CORU is Ireland’s multi-profession health regulator. Its role is to protect the public by promoting high standards of professional conduct, education, training and competence through statutory registration of health and social care professionals. It ensures my qualifications meet the minimum standards required to enter the Physiotherapists registration board. It ensures public confidence in the Physical Therapy/Physiotherapy profession by independently verifying my professional qualifications and standing. It also ensures that Physical Therapy/Physiotherapy are protected titles in Ireland.

Active Ageing Classes
Sarcopenia is defined as a loss of muscle mass and function as we get older that
reduces mobility, diminishes quality of life, and can lead to fall-related injuries, which
can require costly hospitalization and extended rehabilitation. According to the World
Health Organization (WHO), sarcopenia is one of the major causes of loss of
independence and a very significant risk factor for developing other morbidities at an
older age.
Physical inactivity and muscle disuse promote the loss of muscle mass and worsen
the degree of sarcopenia. Therefore, it is no surprise that physical activity has been
successful in slowing down or reversing sarcopenia.
For this reason, we have established our “Active Ageing Classes” for people who are
looking to stay fit and healthy as they age. It is aimed at individuals (age 55+) who
wish to improve their bone health, muscle mass as well as their cardiovascular
fitness.
These classes are suitable for patients living with chronic pain or disease including:
Osteoarthritis
Osteoporosis
Obesity
Sarcopenia
Cardiac Disease
Patients who are at risk of falls
Or anyone looking to keep active as they get older!
Our classes provide evidence-based exercises that are delivered and supervised by
a Chartered Physiotherapist and incorporate aerobic, bone building (impact and
strength) and balance/falls prevention exercises.
Classes are running Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings as well as an
evening class on Monday nights.
Classes cost 75 euro for 6 weeks,
